Located in Tuscany, Italy near the medieval city of Cortona, the Casa San Pietro sleeps at least 4 adults with two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, living room, and separate modern kitchen & dining space. Large indoor cantina/tavern is available, as well as a private garden/lawn space and use of semi-private swimming pool in summer months.This ‘chapel-house’ was completely renovated in 2009 using original materials, and blends the charm and history of a 200-year-old private chapel with a contemporary and functional house. Furnishings have been selected with great care and in excellent taste.
Due to the open stairway as well as the delicate nature of the original chapel decorations in stucco, children under 12 years of age are not recommended in Casa San Pietro.
Bordering on a small vineyard and agricultural fields of tobacco and sunflowers, the surrounding countryside is ideal for walking and biking. Located on a private road only a few minute walk from the village center, the house is secluded without being isolated. The house is part of a small “borgo” with three other stone farmhouses closeby, but each is private to itself with garden/lawn space and no walls or fences.
